Yeongnyeongjeon Hall hosts the royal tablets that underwent the jocheon (moving of the tablets) process from the Main Hall according to the law of sesil and jocheon. It is a separate shrine that was newly established in 1421 (the 3rd year of King Sejong) when there were not enough rooms in the Main Hall to host tablets. The name "Yeongnyeong" means "long peace for royal ancestors and descendants. " It is also called "Jomyo," meaning that tablets are taken from the Main Hall. The overall facility and layout are similar to the Main Hall, but it is smaller in size. 4 Bay (Kan, the distance between two columns) at the center of Yeongnyeongjeon Hall is where four generations of ancestors of King Taejo are enshrined, namely Honorary King Mokjo, King Ikjo, King Dojo, King Hwanjo, and their queens. The ceiling here is higher than other sections. The 6 Bay section of each side room hosts the ancestral tablets of kings and queens, Honorary kings and queens, and Honorary emperors and empresses that were moved from the Main Hall.
